As a child I was quiet and shy. I loved being in nature, writing stories, drawing, and singing. I loved daydreaming. Life felt almost magical at times. But as I got older, things changed.
For decades I felt lost. Events in my twenties and thirties had not only left me broken-hearted and mistrustful of others, but worse—I was mistrustful of my own instincts. I had disconnected from my personal power. I had a victim’s mentality and didn’t easily forgive. I looked at life from a place of fear, always trying to play it safe, yet never feeling safe.
I worked in the corporate world for over 20 years, most recently in a leadership role at a Fortune 10 company. From the outside it looked like I had achieved success. Yet somehow, I knew that I was meant to do something different. I felt stuck in a life that didn’t fit. But what was this “thing” I should be doing? I had no idea and I didn’t feel empowered to make a change. Besides, who was I to squander this life that had taken decades to build?
Soon the pull to shed my current life and make room for something new became unmistakable and unshakeable. My Soul was calling me to take action.
I left my corporate job, making the leap into the unknown and trusting in a future I couldn’t see. I hired a coach and started doing the inner work necessary to heal old wounds and to reconnect to my Higher Wisdom and personal power. I became reacquainted with the younger version of myself, the little “me” who didn’t question her worth and knew she was loved and that she mattered. I started feeling like myself again.
I soon discovered that I could combine my life and business experience with my Soul-aligned interests. I hadn’t been wasting time after all! I could draw from my decades of personal and professional wisdom. I knew I had a talent for building thriving, productive teams and helping people to see their unique strengths and gifts, but it took a while for my Soul-aligned purpose to emerge.
I now get to help others, using a combination of traditional, intuitive, and spiritual coaching tools. It’s my mission to show people that they matter, that they have a powerful voice and that they deserve a fulfilling and joyful life.
I write articles and essays and speak on podcasts and radio shows to share my own story and hopefully inspire others along the way. These are all things I couldn’t have imagined a few years ago. But as often is the case, the Universe had an even bigger plan for me than I had for myself!
I love reading, writing, traveling, exploring new cultures, and being in nature. I’m a proud mom to my adult daughter. I live in Massachusetts with my rambunctious and hilarious, lovebug cats, Petey and Emmett.
